Numerical Analysis of Himalayan Rock Tunnels under Static and Blast Loading

Tunnels have been the necessary element of modern construction industry. Due to their importance for infrastructural and economic point view, several tunneling projects are being carried out. The present numerical study investigates response rock tunnel under static surface blast loading. observed in three different types rocks predominantly Himalayan mountains, i.e. Phyllitic Quartzite, Quartzitic Phyllite Migmatic Gneiss. has out on a 3D model dimension 70 x 80 m. 11 m diameter with concrete liner 0.45 initial thickness overburden applied form pressure initially as height 50 rock. lining varied loading conditions. In addition, shape cross-section Arch, Circular, Rectangular Horseshoe. surrounding modeled nonlinear elastoplastic constitutive material model, Mohr-Coulomb (M-C) Concrete Damage Plasticity respectively.
